The London Wine Competition aims to identify and reward those brands and products that the organisers say “consumers actually want to buy, rather than focusing on good quality wines for their winemaking ability alone”.
It is a view of the wine in totality from the quality of the wine to the price it offers and how well the packaging delivers. It scores how marketable and consumer-focused the wine is that will determine how well it will do, not only the quality and skill of the winemaking.
