"My Mother, Yvonne Phillip began making wine in 1962 with her village neighbours as a hobby and continued doing so as early as I can remember.  At the age of 13, my mother had some rice wine stored in her cabinet and offered me a taste, I took a liking to it immediately and decided to have a little more later that night when everyone was asleep.  

Fast forward, in 1999, my senior year in university, I had the opportunity of participating in an Exchange Programme in London, where I was able to experience different cultures. Upon my return home, I said to my mother, "Mom, I am going to start a winery and name it after my grandmother Victoria Harper."

V Toria Rhonda Vineyard & Winery Ltd was established in 2012 with the goal of crafting innovative, high quality wines from exotic tropical fruits and various grape varietals.

We currently have four wine products which are Love Affair Wine - Sorrel & Concord, True Passion Wine - Passion Fruit & Sauvignon Blanc, Perception Wine - Pomegranate & Zinfandel and our newest Pure Diamond Wine - Rice & Riesling.  We established a passion fruit vineyard (see attached) and on schedule to produce our first batch of True Passion Wine from this vineyard.   We also established a tasting room and after some landscaping, will be welcoming locals and tourist to visit, enjoy our wines and have a new experience. 

A few years after establishing the company, I found a letter from my grandmother where she signed “VR Harper”, now her initials are printed on every wine bottle.

True Passion Wine won the Silver Medal at the 2020 Sommeliers Choice Awards.
